Cornerstone Laid. We Are Officially Starting Construction of the Intermodal Terminal in Zbąszynek

We are the general contractor for the new investment by Loconi Intermodal S.A. – a modern terminal that will strengthen Poland’s western logistics hub and improve the coherence of freight connections across Central Europe.
The project is being carried out by the Western Region together with our Leszno branch of Adamietz S.A., where Arkadiusz Majorczyk serves as Director, and where Tomasz Radny, Project Delivery Director, will oversee the entire scope of works.
A few key facts:

Location: Zbąszynek, directly along the E20 line (TEN-T network), adjacent to the A2 motorway and the S3 expressway
Area: 9.4 ha;
4 transshipment tracks – simultaneous handling of two full train sets;
Storage yard with a capacity of 4,500 TEU;
Two electric rail-mounted gantry cranes (E-RTG) – low-emission handling equipment;
Planned launch: Q1 2028

This project responds to the dynamic growth in cargo volumes at Polish ports and the increasing demand for efficient connections with the hinterland. The terminal in Zbąszynek fits into a green logistics strategy – electric cranes and a direct connection to the TEN-T rail network are real steps toward decarbonizing supply chains.
We would like to thank Loconi Intermodal for their trust. This is yet another project for us in which construction and infrastructure serve a purpose greater than building itself.
Investor: Loconi Intermodal S.A.
The time capsule was laid by: Niels Jakobsgaard Andersen, President of Loconi Intermodal S.A., and Dariusz Bracik, Vice President; Wiesław Czyczerski, Mayor of Zbąszynek; and Szczepan Kusibab, Vice President of the Management Board, Corporate Affairs Director of ADAMIETZ S.A.
