Every second matters. Literally. Sudden cardiac arrest gives no warning. It does not choose a place or a moment. That is why at the Nowa Chylonia construction site in Gdynia, we have taken a step that may one day save someone’s life.
A modern AED defibrillator has been installed on the premises – a device that in the event of sudden cardiac arrest enables immediate action, even before an ambulance arrives. Importantly, the equipment will be added to a publicly accessible AED map, meaning it will be available not only to our employees, but to anyone in the vicinity.
The mere presence of the equipment is not enough. That is why TotalMedica conducted a first aid training session during which our employees gained practical skills in responding to life-threatening situations. Because knowledge and readiness to act are just as important a part of safety as the most advanced equipment.
A safe workplace is not a slogan for us – it is a series of deliberate decisions and real actions.
