Topping-Out Ceremony Held – Work Continues
On June 26, a topping-out wreath (wiecha) was raised at the construction site of the new Museum of the Wielkopolska Uprising 1918–1919 – the traditional symbol marking the completion of structural works. The wreath was placed at a height of 20.65 m above ground level, and the four above-ground buildings (the main part of the museum will be housed in two underground levels) have now reached their final shape and dimensions.
This is an important moment for us – the result of over two years of intensive work carried out by our Poznań branch of Adamietz SA: from constructing diaphragm walls to a depth of 20 m, driving more than 500 foundation piles, through the construction of the underground central space in the form of a rotunda vaulted with a 30-meter dome, to the erection of the entire above-ground structure.
Now an equally demanding stage lies ahead of us: stone façades, roofs, glass facades, extensive building systems, and finishing works on all floors. The goal is to open the museum in 2028, on the 110th anniversary of the outbreak of the Wielkopolska Uprising. We are doing everything possible to meet this deadline.
We would like to thank the entire team for their commitment!
